Join Club SÖDA NYC co-founders Ruby Warrington and Biet Simkin for an evening of deep connection and real talk. Often a cocktail can be what gets the conversation flowing. A dose of the "truth serum" to help loosen the tongue and tell it like it is.

But what if you didn't have to be intoxicated to say what you really think? To share what's in your heart? Or to feel the connection of deep and meaningful conversation?

This evening salon will begin with an intro talk and discussion of our theme, followed by a unique sound bath meditation experience from Sara Auster and Guided by Biet.

We'll then give the floor to Sub Rosa Founder Michael Ventura, creator of the Questions & Empathy card deck. A tool to provoke empathetic thinking, Michael will guide us though a series of interactive group exercises designed to eliminate small-talk and dive straight into the good stuff.

Leave feeling confident in the art of conversation, having made meaningful new connections, and ready to start a conversation that counts.

Full non-alcoholic bar with specialty mocktails will be available.

EVENT DETAILS

(Details)

What are the stories you tell yourself about booze? About why you drink, when you drink, and what people will think if you don't? About how alcohol makes you feel? About the role drinking plays in your friendships, your career, your dating life, and in the bedroom?

Following a discussion to debunk some of our collective drinking myths, Biet Simkin will share her favorite sober flirting techniques before guiding us in her signature Center of the Cyclone meditation experience.

To finish, intuition coach Betsy Cohen will guide us through some simple exercises to help us tune in to the voice of our intuition, of our TRUTH, to help us navigate our drinking choices with more clarity, confidence and integrity.

Refreshments will be served.

A series of heartbreaking world events in 2016 has shone a light on the divisiveness, hatred, and violence that still plagues our societies. Many of us were left feeling angry, frustrated, afraid, and wanting to help but unsure how.

Peace In The City, hosted by Numinous founder Ruby Warrington along with the Urban Yogis, aims to show us how working towards inner peace must be the first step towards creating more peace in our communities—both local, and global.

To begin, Numinous Founder Ruby Warrington will moderate a panel discussion with Urban Yogi co-Founder Eddie Stern, community activist and LIFE Camp Founder Erica Ford, and NYT best selling author Deepak Chopra, on the correlation between inner and outer peace. Then, Juquille, Jaytaun, Raheem and Tyrell of the Urban Yogis will share simple techniques to help us bring more peace to our own lives, and inspire peace in the lives of others.

Snacks and refreshments will be served.

The Blue Flame is an energetic embodiment of Divine Feminine consciousness. When we invoke the Blue Flame, we are calling upon an angelic lineage of Divine Feminine Master Teachers, such as: Mother Mary, Archangel Haniel, Isis, and the Magdalenes to assist with clearing, protection and guidance. Connecting with the Blue Flame is a gentle form of managing our energy. It reawakens us to the practical power of celestial support through these wildly changing times.

ABOUT URBAN YOGIS

Starting your own business and picking the right niche in no time

Led by Erica Ford (New York City Crisis Management, Queens Division), Deepak Chopra and Eddie Stern, the Urban Yogis program was inaugurated with five young adults from South Side Jamaica, Queens, who have been personally affected by gun and other types of violence. These young men and women have been engaging in community activism to address these issues, which has included learning the transformative tools of yoga and meditation. Inspired by their experiences, they have created an initiative to bring these tools to their community. The Urban Yogis are now inspiring other young, at risk youth to choose alternative pathways towards positivity and peace.

For International Peace Day, September 21 2016, conscious lifestyle sites The Numinous, The Hoodwitch and Tribe de Mama, are coming together to promote #TuneInPeaceOut—an IRL and digital initiative to spread the message of peace, equality, and compassion among all beings.

A series of heartbreaking world events in summer 2016 shone a light on the divisiveness, hatred, and violence that still plagues our societies. And with a potentially game-changing US election this fall, the aim of #TuneInPeaceOut is to inspire those invested in forging a more peaceful path for humanity to use our voice.

If you cannot attend our Peace In The City event, we invite you to host your own gathering or simply share the hashtag #TuneInPeaceOut on World Peace Day to promote awareness of this important message.

about CLUB SODA

CLUB SODA is a social experiment from The Numinous and Guided By Biet – a new space for the sober curious to experience with how good life can get when we re-frame our relationship with alcohol. Far from “boring” (an accusation they love to levy against non-drinkers), what if choosing sobriety meant being “high” all the time? Modern drinking culture makes it easy, often way too easy, to choose booze as our go-to method for feeling good. Choosing CLUB SODA may not mean total abstinence, but we are all about the alternatives.
